The Ridge Church to dedicate new building on Sunday

The Ridge Church congregation plans to dedicate its new building during its 10:15 a.m. Sunday worship service.

The church — previously named the Walnut Street Baptist Church —  is located at 7350 Old Highway 13 in Carbondale.

The Ridge Church has been worshiping in its new facilities for exactly one year, pastor Wes Henson reported.

Delivering the keynote address will be Nate Adams, executive director of the Illinois Baptist State Association. Adams grew up in Southern Illinois, where his father, Tom Adams, was a pastor. He and his wife, Beth, live in Springfield and have three young adult sons.
